Asia Public Blockchain Week- Day 2
Event
Asia Public Blockchain Week hosted last week by Asia Blockchain Centre (ABC) recognised as the biggest virtual event in Asia for people to understand Public blockchain protocols that allows for users to build and run their own smart contracts without building their own ecosystem. Hosted by Asia Blockchain Centre (ABC) last week from August 24 to August 28. We have invited five leading public blockchains for people to explore and BUIDL on.
For day 2 we have invited Josh Lee from the Community Advocate from Tendermint to share with us the Cosmos Network, which was supported by BFT consensus algorithms. The Cosmos Network is a decentralized network of independent, scalable, and interoperable blockchains, creating the foundation for a new token economy. In other words, Cosmos is an ecosystem of blockchains that can scale and interoperate with each other. Before Cosmos, blockchains were siloed and unable to communicate with each other. They were hard to build and could only handle a small amount of transactions per second. Cosmos solves these problems with a new technical vision. In order to understand this vision we need to go back to the fundamentals of blockchain technology.
